It was years ago now, but here is the story of how the Lotus Flower came into my life. I had just finished working with a client of mine and stepped outside to pray and meditate. I often do so after a challenging session, but looked forward to it this time as I myself had been through a number of challenging situations over the preceding months, and I knew that I needed to continue to work on my own “Learn Grow Evolve.” It was a perfect day outside and after spending hours inside, I was happy to have the sun on my face and breathe in the aromas of being outdoors….Read More
The first time I heard “What is the difference between ignorance and stupidity?” and then the punch line “I don’t know and I don’t care” was in a movie many years ago. In the movie everyone responded with pompous laughter, as if his or her intellect was superior and couldn’t possibly fall into the category of being either ignorant or stupid.
When I am in a session with someone, I uphold a rule that anyone over the age of twelve is not allowed to say “I don’t know” when I inquire about why they took a specific action or how they feel about a subject. After the age of twelve, with all of the growing and learning we have done up to that point, we should all understand our own thought processes enough to know the reasons behind our actions – what motivates us, frightens us, frustrates us, causes us pain, or brings us happiness….Read More
When people begin to comprehend my character, the four people/beings I am compared to most are Edgar Cayce, The Dalai Lama, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Yoda (from Star Wars). It has always been a wonder to me that I am consistently compared to these four figures because I have never studied any of their works (I’ve seen the Star Wars movies, but some of you reading this will only consider Yoda a character)….Read More
I was sitting and thinking today that if I had asked my partners ex’s for a reference, would I have still gotten into a relationship with him? Then I realized that they would give me their truth of how the relationship went. What I mean by “their truth” is that most people have a truth based on their perception of the experience.
Don’t understand? Have you heard the saying “There are two sides to every story”? Sadly, in all of my years, I have found that statement very true for both sides have a different perception of the story and that perception is based on some fact attached to a dash of emotion and a splash of the need to satisfy one’s self-worth….Read More
I don’t usually begin my posts with questions, but I felt it apropos to do so with this one. Have you ever felt that through someone else’s actions or lack of actions that they didn’t love you? If you approached them with the question of “Why don’t you love me?” or the statement of “You don’t love me” causing your partner to promise you, or swear to you, or plead with you, that they do indeed love you. What then? Do you leave them because you are not convinced of their true, devoted affection toward you due to their lack of being able to prove it to you?…Read More
I was going to title this “Tweaking Your Speak” but “Tweak Your Speak” rhymes, so that’s what I stayed with.
One of the many things I’ve learned over the years from working with so many people on so many levels is that everyone understands things differently, which means they also have different speech patterns, methods of speaking, and different mannerisms while speaking.
The bottom line is we all feed and digest information differently. This often leads to miscommunication and hurt feelings across the board….Read More

We have all experienced the daunting feeling of setting out to accomplish our life’s goals.
The moment we have that first flash of genius it all seems possible, realistic, and reachable. Then reality sets in and we remember who we are and where we’re at in our lives. We begin to doubt our ability to really achieve our goals. A big factor that plays into our reality is that throughout our life we’ve all heard the word “no” so many times from so many different people that we have instinctively begun to repeat that same “dirty” word to ourselves. This learned behavior puts us into a place of learned “self-doubt”….Read More
